Membership

The society has five basic membership categories: Passive, Active, Senior, Lifetime, and Honorary Member.

Passive Status – You are a passive member when you first join the society for at least six months after which you are voted by the board to become an active member as long as you contribute to the active life of the society. This is accomplished if you attend dances, help clean-up crews, come to dinners, etc. While you are passive status, you are not eligible to vote in the annual election for officers and need a sponsor’s signature to utilize the club bar.

Active Status – You become active when you are voted by the board, as stated above, which at this time you are eligible to vote in the annual election for officers. You also are able to use the club bar without a sponsor.

Senior Status – You become a senior member when you have been an active member for at least twenty years and have reached the age of sixty-five. Annual dues are cut in half.

Lifetime Status – To reach lifetime status you must have been an active member for at least twenty years and have reached the age of seventy. Annual dues are no longer necessary at this status.

Honorary Member Status – To reach honorary member status you must have been an active member for at least ten years and have served on the society’s board for ten years or have done an extraordinary service that warrants the board to vote this status. Annual dues are no longer necessary at this status.

In order to become a member of the society one must first fill out an application form and be sponsored by an active member who knows you. You need not be of German descent to become a member. You can obtain an application from your sponsor or by contacting the club. All applications are reviewed by the board for approval after reviewing your application with your sponsor. Once approved the application is posted for viewing by the members. If no objections arise, the applicant is brought into the club at a quarterly meeting or board meeting. At this time dues are paid to the membership secretary. You must attend a board meeting or a quarterly meeting to be accepted as a member.

Dues, as of today, are

Individual Membership: $75.00 per year per member

Family Membership: $112.50 per year per family (husband and wife)

Senior Membership: $37.50 per year per member

Reminder from The Membership Secretary: Dues become overdue on April 1st of the current year. Your dues need to be paid up-to-date to vote in the election in April. Call Roy Holcombe at 609-499-1596 or email caholcombe12@aol.com with any questions.
