About

The German-American Society was established on July 12, 1962, incorporated under the laws of New Jersey by the merger of Liederkranz Inc. (founded 1881) and Aurora Inc (founded 1905).

The objective of the Society is to maintain and practice the meaningful culture that we, as German descendants, have been taught throughout our years and to establish an excellent rapport between all members and the general public within our community. It shall be accomplished by practicing the German language and the German hospitality (Gemuetlichkeit), supporting and participating in German culture programs as we deem necessary for our own satisfaction, and sponsoring and participating in far-reaching sports programs.
